National Hospital Week 2025: May 11 through 17

The second week in May marks the celebration of National Hospital Week, a time to recognize the care and support hospitals provide to communities throughout the country.

Throughout the coming week, HAP is celebrating the ways Pennsylvania hospitals support our communities.

• Workforce leaders:  Serving as leading job creators in Pennsylvania communities.
• Economic anchors: Driving local economies and enabling economic development.
• Health care heroes:  Addressing community health needs and, absent a public hospital system, providing critical public health infrastructure.
• Caring for our communities:  Providing charity care and supporting care for millions of Pennsylvanians covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
• Investing in the future:  Educating and training the next generation of clinicians.

HAP encourages everyone to thank Pennsylvania hospitals during National Hospital Week by posting on social media with the #NationalHospitalweek hashtag. Share with your followers what your local hospital means to you.

HAP’s hospital week toolkit provides resources to help you celebrate hospitals in your community. Additionally, the American Hospital Association has published a digital toolkit with additional graphics and messages.
