The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is a not-for-profit trade association based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which advocates for nearly 240 Pennsylvania acute and specialty care hospitals and health systems including primary care, subacute care, long-term care, home health, and hospice providers, as well as the patients and communities they serve.

HAP’s employees represent its membership in the legislative, regulatory, and health policy arenas in Harrisburg, Washington D.C., and regionally, including the southeast.

Manager, Integrated Communications

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is seeking a Manager, Integrated Communications for our Communications department. This position is responsible for working to ensure the successful digital promotion of the HAP brand. This position also will be responsible for:

  • Developing email marketing strategies to maximize the effectiveness of association communications and business goals
  • Analyzing data
  • Setting performance benchmarks

In addition, the incumbent will successfully:

  • Increase traffic to HAP’s website
  • Optimize user experience through SEO, written and creative content, and the use of digital analytics
  • Promote HAP and HAP subsidiary brands
  • Develop written and creative content, including video and graphics, to support HAP’s strategic plan and annual goals

Candidates for consideration must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience

Successful candidates must possess a solid knowledge of marketing automation platforms and customer relationship systems as well as SEO and SEM strategy and execution, understand social media analytics, and have experience with digital marketing tools.

Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is seeking an accounts receivable specialist for our Accounting Department. This position is responsible for maintaining the accounting of and recordkeeping for revenue cycle activity for all entities within the HAP corporate family and other organizations for which HAP provides administrative services.  In addition, this is the lead position for maintaining complete and accurate records related to lobbying activity and campaign finance and respective federal, state and, where applicable, local municipality reporting.

Candidates for consideration must:

  • Have an Associates’ Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in accounts receivable or related area required; three to five years preferred
  • Have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Be proficient using a personal computer and applications such as Excel and Word
  • Be detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills

This position requires strong analytical, math, and accounting skills.

Director, Media Relations

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is seeking candidates for the Director, Media Relations. The position advocates for HAP and its members with the public and national media as a conduit for key messages. This position also builds public support for Pennsylvania’s hospitals and health systems, their missions, and contributions to their communities. The incumbent will successfully:

  • Pitch stories and earn placements within traditional and digital media outlets
  • Secure optimum media coverage for the association and its members
  • Position HAP as the leading voice for better health in Pennsylvania

Candidates for consideration must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations or related field; Master’s preferred
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience working with regional, national, and emerging media, established media contacts, as well as cross-functional team experience
  • Small-scale video content creation,
  • Social media and digital marketing background
  • Association experience is a plus.
