Policy Analyst
The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is seeking candidates for a Policy Analyst in our Advocacy and Policy Division. The primary responsibilities include analyzing issues that focus on the health policy landscape. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment that will include:
- Attending legislative and regulatory hearings
- Preparing briefings
- Providing written reports to members
- Generating creative solutions to complex problems
- Working collaboratively with highly motivated and knowledgeable colleagues
Candidates for consideration must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in political science, law, public health, or related degree
- Two or more years’ of relevant experience
- Experience analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation and conveying findings to clients or other stakeholders
- An understanding of the policy issues impacting the health care sector, as well as how federal and state policy affects the health care industry
