Accounting and Payroll Generalist

As a result of an internal promotion, The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is seeking an Accounting and Payroll Generalist. This position will support the general accounting and payroll functions. Candidates will provide assistance to ensure accurate and timely payroll, analyze and reconcile financial activity and assist with month-end and compliance activities for HAP and its subsidiary organizations. This is a hybrid position (two days a week in the office).
Candidates for consideration must have at least an associate’s degree in accounting; a bachelor’s degree preferred. Successful candidates must also have:
- A minimum of two years of experience in accounting, payroll processing, or related area; three to five years preferred
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
In addition, the successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to deal effectively with people at all levels.

Administrative Coordinator
The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is seeking an Administrative Coordinator, Operations, to support the Sr. Vice President (SVP) of Operations.
In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support that ensures the efficient execution of the SVP’s operational portfolio. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and prioritizing internal and external requests
- Coordinating assignments with appropriate staff
- Collaborating closely with the SVP’s direct reports
- Leading special projects on behalf of the SVP
This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in the office.
Candidates for consideration must have a bachelor’s degree. Successful applicants will bring at least five years’ experience in administrative roles, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent capability.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong record of leadership (in the workplace, academics, athletics, or volunteer activities)
- A solid understanding of operational processes
- Experience supporting committees
- Knowledge of administrative best practices
- Sound judgment with the ability to make appropriate independent decisions
Absolute integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information was essential.
