Day two of HAP’s Patient Safety, Quality, and Equity Symposium explored the ways new technology, artificial intelligence, access to care, equity, workforce programs, and quality initiatives all connect with safety.

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is recognizing 20 Pennsylvania hospitals for their exemplary results delivering safe patient care.

Now in its eighth year, HAP’s Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition program honors the commonwealth’s top-performing hospitals that have demonstrated low rates of healthcare-associated infections. The 2026 honorees were selected based on their performance during 2025.
