Workforce Safety During COVID-19—Leadership Roundtable Webinar

Location: Online

Registration Deadline: June 16, 2020

Overview

Hospital leaders face a multifaceted challenge: combating the COVID crisis on the frontlines, while also tackling issues such as caring for non-COVID patients, employee safety, and a disrupted supply chain. Hear from leaders across the commonwealth who will share how they are working to strike this balance.

During this virtual roundtable, the panelists will discuss implementation approaches for staff and patient safety during the COVID response, including how already existing procedures and processes are being augmented given the recent DOH Order related to workforce safety. Please join us for this interactive, leadership-focused discussion.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss and exchange ideas with colleagues regarding staff and patient safety and well-being during COVID-19 response
  2. Describe DOH Order requirements for additional policies and procedures addressing staff and patient safety including:
    • Contact tracing and exposure notification process
    • Instructions for quarantine or work exclusion
    • Policies and procedures required for respirator distribution
    • Universal masking of patient and visitor masking
  3. Gain insights on strategies hospitals are implementing to protect staff and how they may change in light of DOH’s Order

The discussion, ideas, and actions shared during this session will support hospital and health system leaders as we recover from this pandemic and leverage the strengths of our industry to care for patients and staff for the most optimal outcomes possible.
