Overview
As hospitals work around the clock to respond to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, enormous flexibility is required to allow hospitals and health systems to most effectively respond to this emergency and to provide the best care possible to patients. HAP is working with the commonwealth to identify and secure needed statewide blanket waivers under Section 1135 that temporarily suspend certain requirements in order for health care providers to better respond to coronavirus.
