As you know, the Quality Care Assessment (QCA) statute is slated to sunset on June 30, 2023 and HAP is working with the Committee on Public Payor Policy (CoPPP) and HAP’s Board of Directors to address key issues as the hospital community prepares for the reauthorization of the QCA. Because of the importance of this program, we will be hosting three regional sessions (west, central, and east) to review the status of the reauthorization, discuss the key issues, seek additional member input, and answer questions regarding the reauthorization process. Each session will be scheduled for approximately 90 minutes, and we are holding three sessions to facilitate more extensive discussion and time for Q&A.

The HAP Compliance Officer Committee is composed of professionals working in compliance, regulatory affairs and oversight, accreditation, and patient safety at member hospitals across the state. The committee convenes quarterly to discuss federal and state legislative and regulatory issues, survey-related trends, and emerging issues. HAP encourages broad participation, but registration for this meeting is required.
