Fact Sheet: 340B Protects Access to Care in Pennsylvania

The 340B program allows eligible health care providers to purchase certain outpatient drugs at a discounted rate from drug manufacturers, at no cost to taxpayers, and partner with contract pharmacies to get patients the right drugs, at the right time and in the right place. Hospitals use these savings to support care for vulnerable patients and strengthen community services.
