2020 HAP Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the two organ procurement organizations serving Pennsylvania—the Center for Organ Recovery & Education and Gift of Life Donor Program—for the 2020 HAP Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge.

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP)—along with its partners, the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) and the Gift of Life Donor Program—are committed to support our hospital members in every way possible. Due to COVID-19, we understand that hospitals canceled scheduled events and an increasing number of health care teams have been deployed to address patient needs.

It is for those reasons that we—with the support of CORE and the Gift of Life Donor Program—have decided to suspend HAP’s Donate Life Hospital Challenge for 2020.

We appreciate hospitals' commitment to this challenge and for their dedication to promote organ, tissue and eye donation.

HAP would like to honor those hospitals and health systems who dedicated significant effort to drawing attention to the need for organ and tissue donors and encouraging new donor registrations during the beginning of the challenge.

The HAP Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge encourages Pennsylvania hospitals to increase organ donation awareness and designations within their hospital and community.

The awareness and designation activities are captured on a scorecard for participating hospitals to achieve titanium, platinum, gold, silver, and bronze level point totals.
