There are only five days left to select health insurance coverage for 2022 on Pennie.
As the deadline approaches, HAP and Pennsylvania’s hospital community are urging the public to evaluate their options available through the state health insurance marketplace. Consumers have until January 15 to select a plan on Pennie that begins February 1.
“One of our top priorities has always been to increase competition within counties, which ultimately presents more options to consumers looking for comprehensive health insurance,” said Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Jessica Altman. “This year, we have more options than ever before.”
Here are three key facts to know as the insurance deadline approaches:
“2021 was another year of continual changes, so it’s important to make sure that all policies reflect any major life changes,” Altman said. “Reviewing your policies can also provide an opportunity to identify savings that may now be applicable in 2022.”
Consumers re-enrolling in coverage are encouraged to visit the marketplace, as plans and subsidies can change from year to year. For more information, visit the state’s dedicated health insurance page or Pennie 101 guide.
