Registration deadline is Monday
May 02, 2025
Pennsylvania voters still have time to participate in the upcoming primary election. The deadline to register to vote, update your registration, or apply for a mail-in ballot for the primary is Monday, May 5.
The primary election for registered Democrats and Republicans is slated for May 20. Independents are ineligible to vote in primaries, except on ballot initiatives.
As always, health care is top of mind for many Pennsylvanians. HAP encourages Pennsylvania hospital teams to make their voice heard by voting on Election Day.
In Pennsylvania, voters can register online, by mail, or in person. Any voter may apply for a mail-in ballot by no later than 5 p.m. May 13. Completed mail-in ballots must be received by your election board by 8 p.m. on election night.
Here are five things to know about voting and voter registration:
- Ways to vote: Registered Pennsylvania voters can cast their ballot by mail or in person.
- Voting opportunities: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Find your polling place here.
- Better safe than sorry: It’s important to make sure your information is up to date. You can find your voter registration status online.
- Scammers are relentless: Voter registration is not done over the phone. Be wary of calls or texts from bad actors looking to perpetrate a scam.
- Have questions?: Your county’s election office is an important community resource. View information about your county’s election officials here.
