HAP's Nurse Ambassadors Make an Impression in Harrisburg

More than two dozen nurse ambassadors from across Pennsylvania’s hospital community came to Harrisburg Tuesday.

Their message: Pennsylvania’s hospitals and their teams are delivering outstanding care, but they need help.

Legislation to support the future workforce is a start—but lawmakers heard more than requests for resources and funding.

Across meetings with more than 40 lawmakers, nurse leaders outlined how hospitals are addressing workplace violence, investing in their teams, and supporting staff well-being. They offered a direct view of the challenges they face while pointing to a shared responsibility to protect access to care.
