Advocacy Groups Stress the Critical Importance of Telemedicine During Emergencies

As coronavirus emerges as a potential threat, telehealth advocacy groups are advocating that Congress take action. Spearheaded by the Alliance for Connected Care, recommendations have been made to include a provision in the COVID-19 supplemental appropriations package that would allow telemedicine visits to be covered in traditional Medicare during the public health emergency.

HAP Testimony Outlines Goals, Progress of Opioid Learning Action Network

During a recent hearing of the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee, HAP provided testimony about HAP’s Opioid Learning Action Network, a two-year learning collaborative designed to help hospitals break down siloes, share information, and build understanding to end the opioid crisis in the commonwealth.
