News Release: PatientPing and HAPevolve Partner to Improve Real-Time Care Coordination and Enhance Outcomes Across Pennsylvania

PatientPing has announced an endorsed partnership with HAPevolve, a subsidiary company of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), to streamline care and improve patient outcomes across health systems and hospitals throughout Pennsylvania. The partnership will leverage PatientPing’s extensive Pennsylvania network and its suite of care collaboration solutions to enable providers to share real-time information about patients’ care encounters across providers and settings.

AHA Releases Updated COVID-19 Essential Surgery Roadmap

During April, when Pennsylvania hospitals were looking forward to the resumption of scheduled surgeries and procedures, the American Hospital Association (AHA) and a group of national health care and provider organizations, issued a joint statement that outlined a roadmap for resuming elective surgeries. Yesterday, the AHA and partnering organizations released an updated version of their roadmap.

High-Priority COVID-19 Legislation Introduced in Pennsylvania

Today, Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Quinn (R-Delaware) introduced HB 2779, the Retaining Health Care Innovations Act. This legislation seeks to extend the timeline for regulatory and administrative flexibilities for one year after the end of the Pennsylvania COVID-19 emergency declaration, while also directing the Joint State Government committee to make recommendations as to which waivers and flexibilities should remain permanent.
