Here’s a look at some of the upcoming legislation coming to the Pennsylvania General Assembly that’s on our radar.

  • House Bill 2527 (Fleming, D–Dauphin):  Increases income eligibility thresholds for Pennsylvania’s Pre-K Counts and Child Care Works programs from current levels up to 400% of the federal poverty level.
  • Senate Bill 1328 (Bartolotta, R–Washington):  Requires that Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) be readily available on electric utility worksites.
  • Senate Bill 1330 (Keefer, R–Cumberland):  Amends the Chiropractic Practice Act to establish board-governed pathways for recognized procedures within chiropractic education, including dry needling.
  • Senate Bill 1331 (Kim, D–Dauphin):  Requires PennDOT and the Department of Health to waive fees associated with providing duplicates of certain state-issued documents for victims of domestic violence and their dependent children.
  • Senate Bill 1315 (Pennycuick, R–Montgomery):  Requires insurance coverage for standard fertility preservation services for cancer patients who undergo medically necessary treatment that results in infertility.
