Dr. Kathryn Bowles is an internationally recognized leader in nursing informatics and care transitions. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and has authored over 250 publications advancing health informatics, discharge planning, transitions, and home health care for older adults. She co-founded RightCare Solutions, a software company based on her team's research on decision support for post-acute care referrals, which has significantly reduced hospital readmissions. She currently leads I-TRANSFER, a 5-year NIH funded study to improve post-acute outcomes for sepsis survivors.
