Ryan Werling
Senior Vice President, Business Development
AblePay

Ryan is currently the Senior Vice President of Business Development and is based in the corporate headquarters office in Allentown, PA. Prior to assuming his current role at AblePay, Ryan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mack Defense (subsidiary of Mack Trucks, Inc.) and served as a member of the Mack Defense Board of Directors from 2014-2017.  During his time as President, Ryan had responsibility for sales of Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, and Renault Trucks Defense portfolios to the United States Federal Government and ministerial level governments throughout the world. 

Ryan is a US Army Veteran having served on U.S. Army active duty from 1996-2008.  He is a veteran of the Iraq war with deployments in 2003 and 2011 and is now a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve.  His last assignment on active duty was as the Director of the White House Transportation Agency (Washington, D.C.) under the President George W. Bush administration. In this capacity, his organization was responsible for the ground transportation of the White House Staff and for support of Presidential trips and motorcades throughout the world.  His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), the Presidential Service Badge, and the Combat Action Badge. 

He has a master’s degree in public administration from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
