Overview
HAP in partnership with more than 30 state hospital and healthcare associations, is excited to present a virtual summer leadership series for C-suite executives titled Leadership and Resiliency: Navigating Through and Beyond COVID-19.
The next session will take place on Thursday, August 20 from 1-2 p.m. and will feature Dr. Jenkins, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and Core Investigator at the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion. In his presentation, Dr. Jenkins will motivate clinicians, researchers, and healthcare leaders to explore the role, recognition, and remediation of inequity in medicine. Learn how to clinically confront the deadly "isms" that prevent quality care and public wellness. In addition, Dr. Jenkins will be addressing the important issues of systemic racism and unconscious/implicit bias and the impact that they will have on delivering quality care to all. Dr. Jenkins will bring his award-winning examinations of race, racism, and psychosocial stress within medicine to help hospitals overcome the 21st-century challenges of health equity.
