PA CSR—Risk Assessments and FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatients Facilities

Location: Online

Registration Deadline: May 21, 2020

Overview

During this webinar, faculty will review two important areas of focus for accreditation and compliance staff:

  • Proactive risk assessments—a powerful tool to evaluate a process to see how it could potentially fail, to understand the consequences of such a failure, and to identify parts of the process that need improvement.
  • Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals—CMS and The Joint Commission expect hospitals to design their new construction and renovation projects in accordance with the current edition of the FGI guidelines or applicable state and local standards if more restrictive.

Objectives

  1. Identify at least one opportunity in your organization to utilize a risk assessment to determine improvement actions
  2. Discuss the importance and applicability of FGI Guidelines
