HAPAC

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania Political Action Committee

Protecting Pennsylvania’s Health

Every day, discussions take place in both Harrisburg and Washington, D.C., that directly impact your work and patients. You already have seen how quickly the health care sector can transform and have experienced enormous budget pressures. It is imperative that Pennsylvania hospitals have a voice in the public policy decisions surrounding hospitals and health systems.

The 2019 HAPAC/HAPAC-Federal campaign is officially underway!

The following campaign-related information is provided to support your efforts:

Join HAPAC

Each year, members of Pennsylvania's hospital community who care about the future of hospitals and health care, unite their voices by joining The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania Political Action Committee (HAPAC). HAPAC is the official political action committee for Pennsylvania's hospital community.

Contributions made to HAPAC are used to support elected officials and candidates who support issues that are important to hospitals, patients, and communities.

Your contribution sends a message to policymakers that Pennsylvania's hospital community is united, and provides an opportunity to positively impact the election of candidates who recognize and support health care's important role in society.

Participation in HAPAC-state campaigns are open to anyone.

HAPAC-Federal

HAPAC also supports federal candidates who recognize the critical role hospitals play. When you support HAPAC-Federal, a portion of your contributions are transferred to the Political Action Committee of the American Hospital Association (AHAPAC) for education and support of federal candidates.

Due to federal law, participation in HAPAC-Federal is limited to individuals employed by a corporation who are paid on a salary rather than hourly basis and who have policymaking, managerial, professional, or supervisory responsibilities.
