HAP Selected to Continue Patient Safety Efforts Under National Partnership for Patients Initiative

News Release: HAP has been selected as one of only 16 national, regional, or state hospital associations, Quality Improvement Organizations, and health system organizations to continue efforts in reducing preventable hospital-acquired conditions and readmissions.

The CMS announcement of the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network awardees marks the third time HAP has secured a highly-competitive contract as part of the national Partnership for Patients initiative. HAP is the only Pennsylvania-based Hospital Improvement Innovation Network.

News Release: With a healthy economy high on the public’s list of priorities during this presidential election year, HAP releases its 2015 economic impact analysis showing that Pennsylvania hospitals continue to be a major contributor to the state and local economies.

All hospitals—not-for-profit and investor-owned combined—contributed nearly $115 billion to local and state economies during 2015, an increase of $4 billion from 2014.
