You are invited to the HAP Opioid LAN south eastern regional networking meeting. We encourage you to share this invite with your peers and partners who work closely with Emergency Departments caring for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). During this meeting, you will be collaborating with regional hospitals and community-based organizations to convene for a half-day morning event that will address and discuss relevant local topics to tackle the opioid epidemic. The three major areas of focus that will be addressed at this meeting include: screening of OUD patients in the ED; harm reduction strategies, specifically related to Naloxone distribution; and Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) warm hand-off best practices. We encourage you to come prepared with your relevant tools and processes in hand and to share your organization’s work related to OUD patient care. Through facilitated activities, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from one another, discuss best practices, and network with regional partners.
