This webinar will be presented by Dr. Kyle Kampman from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania who will discuss the pharmacology of common opiate dependence medication as well as new buprenorphine medication. He will also be discussing treatment of special populations including maternal patients and adolescents.  Dr. Kampman chaired the committee that wrote the ASAM National Practice Guideline for the Use of Medications in the Treatment of Addiction Involving Opioid Use. He has conducted a number of trials testing medications for the treatment of cocaine alcohol and opiate dependence and is a recognized authority on the cocaine withdrawal syndrome.

  • Understand the pharmacology of various medications for opiate dependence and how to choose between them
  • Understand treatment of special OUD populations including maternal and adolescent patients
  • Learn about new buprenorphine medication for OUD
