The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSR), provided in partnership between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), will be presenting the Fall Workshop through a virtual platform. Due to COVID-19 the workshop content will be presented virtually in four 3-hour webinars.

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a style of communicating with people who are in the midst of change, transition, or a period of personal growth. MI practice relies on 40 years of evidence to ignite a patient’s intrinsic motivations to change behavior, such as drug use and treatment adherence.

This call will provide updates on HAP’s advocacy work in support of the response to COVID-19, and to seek feedback from members on HAP’s COVID-19 response and associated operational and policy-related challenges.

On September 22, 2020, Pennsylvania debuted its new state-based insurance marketplace, Pennie.com, for residents who want to buy individual health coverage. This webinar will include a brief walk-through of the consumer shopping and enrollment processes so hospital staff will have first-hand experience and knowledge of available resources to answer questions you will get from patients starting on November 1.
