Health Care Personnel Universal Influenza Vaccination Campaign
Last Updated: 4/8/2013
Pennsylvania hospitals and health systems have continued to demonstrate leadership in preventing health care-associated infections. The implementation of a universal influenza health care personnel vaccination program should be considered an essential element in a comprehensive approach to prevention of all health care-associated infections. Vaccinating health care personnel against influenza is an ethical responsibility, a key component in assuring patient safety, and smart business practice.
HAP encourages all members to implement an evidence-based universal vaccination initiative as a part of their comprehensive approach to prevent all health care-associated infections, and has updated its immunization guidebook to assist members with their continued efforts to implement a universal vaccination program for their health care personnel.
